The Gatsby Trend

17:18:00

Heya,
The Gatsby/Twenty's style is a great going out trend to follow this year... the intricate detail of embelishment creates a sophiscated and glamourous trend taking you back to the roaring twenties where partying and glamour was most valued. It in the 1920's, just afetr the first world war, when women had been given the most freedom where by they could wear shorter dresses and act as they wished, women began following fashion. Coco Chanel was the top designer at the time, inspiring the fashion industry with her new take on using material. Less fabric was used, which contrsted with her old desgins which used thick frills and layers of fabric. Instead beads and embroidary were used. Gemstone and pearl necklaces were worn to create a 'simple modern' look.
This look can be achived nowadays for a small price by visiting the highstreet that we all now and love. I have found some fantastic pieces across the shops. i particually love Miss Selfridges  huge range of garments that create the detailed, vintage, Gatsby look.
When wearing this trend, attempt to wear minmalistic shoes as to not over power the beauty of the garment(s).
Enjoy experimenting with the look

Love Emily x
